同じ方向を指している矢印でも違うことを言える。
「そちらへ向かってください」と「そっちに行け！」: トーンの強さによって解釈が変わる。
各ボタンで実際に押す時の物理的な力と矢印のビジュアル的な力を連動してみた作品。

'The Principles of Arrows' Exhibition 矢印の原理展

社会の重要な役割を担っている記号である「矢印」のその力の原理について考え、社会に与えている影響、社会の中での矢印の役割・機能・可能性を考える展覧会を「in」というサークルで設けた。展覧会は３つの会場で開催されて、自分は「矢印シンクロ機」という作品を展示した。Student-run club 'IN' from Tama Art University's Integrated Design department explores the role and influence of the arrow symbol in society with an exhibition–examining its principles, functions and possibilities. It was held in 3 locations–Kaminoge, Roppongi and Shimokitazawa–and I made the interactive exhibit 'The Arrow Synchrometer' for it.

1 Research & Prototyping
リサーチとプロタイプ制作

• We conducted observations and discussed, we then prototyped with tools like force-sensors and programming.
• 何ヶ月観察したり、仮説を立てたりして討論した。そこからプログラミングや圧力センサーなどでプロタイプを制作した。

矢印の歴史　History of Arrows

個人作品の矢印シンクロ機とグッズの他に、展覧会導入の歴史の部分も担当した。様々なリサーチをした上で歴史上に重要性のある矢印をピックアップして、絵画のように見せ、年で順番に並んだ。Besides the Arrow Synchrometer, I was also in charged of the corner introducing 'The History of Arrows'. I researched and picked up several historical pieces and framed them in chronological order.

Response/ Results
反応

３回目の展覧会が三日半ほどにも関わらず、何百人もの来場があった。会場は常にいっぱいになった状態だった。また、この展覧会がAXISウェブマガジンとでJ-WAVEのInnovation Worldという番組で取り上げられた。アンケートでもいい反応を得ることができた。 Especially in the third exhibition in Shimokitazawa, the response was great, hundreds of visitors came each day–We managed to get a feedback from some of them which was really helpful. We were also featured on Axis Web Magazine, which is a very renowned design magazine in Japan. In a remarkable turn of events, we got featured on the hottest radio station in Japan, J-Wave. The host came to the exhibition on his own accord and talked about it on the show without us sponsoring anything.
